Elizabeth J. Lentine, 88
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Elizabeth Jeanne "Betty" Lentine, 88, of 178 Bonair Ave. died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 10, 1926, daughter of Anthony and Edna Bratcher Fachini, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Lentine was last employed at the former Le Jardin Restaurant and Inn in Williamstown. Before that, she worked at former Sprague Electric, General Cable and Wall-Streeter Shoe companies.
She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and enjoyed traveling.
Her husband, Joseph Lentine, whom she married on July 24, 1944, in St. Anthony's Church, died on Jan. 28, 2000.
She leaves three sons, Thomas J. Lentine and his friend, Liz Braman, of Stamford, Vt, Joseph A. Lentine of Adams and Robert D. Lentine and his wife, Antoinette, of North Adam; three daughters, Donna M. Dupree and her husband, Richard, and Sharron A. Bugbee and her husband, David, all of Pittsfield, and Sandra J. Walsh of Adams; three sisters, Edith Maynard of North Adams, Diane Vattes of Manchester, N.H., and Irene Schroeder of Methuen; two brothers, John Fachini of North Adams and James Fachini of the town of Florida; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Seven siblings predeceased her: Mary Jane Manchini, Carol Fachini, Anthony Fachini, Louis Fachini, Michael Fachini, Joseph Fachini and Robert Fachini.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Lentine will be Monday morning, July 27, at 10:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday, July 26, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Joseph and Elizabeth Lentine Memorial Scholarship in care of the funeral home.
