Florence D. Millette, 96

ADAMS, Mass. — Florence D. Millette, 96, of 23 Notch Road, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 6, 2015, at Craneville Place in Dalton. Born in Adams on Aug. 26, 1918, a daughter of William and Dora Noel Johnson, she attended the former Notre Dame Elementary School and the former Adams High School. Mrs. Millette worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 30 years, until retiring. Earlier, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, and was a member of the Adams Senior Citizens. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, crafts, sewing, and traveling to Florida. Her husband, Joseph Millette, whom she married on Sept. 21, 1940, in Notre Dame Church, died on Dec. 24, 1992. She leaves two sons, Richard Millette and his wife, Jeanne, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and William Millette and his wife, Bonnie, of Windsor; three grandchildren, Jason Millette and his wife, Jennifer, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Brian Millette and his wife, Brandy, of Hobe Sound, Fla., and Heather Leonard and her husband, Andrew, of Ashby; three great-grandchildren, Raven, Aiden and Jasper Millette, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Wilfred Johnson, and by a sister, Mildred Sprowson. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Millette will be held on Wed., Aug 12, at 1 p.m. from Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours. Instead of memorial donations, Mrs. Millette's family would like their friends to take a loved one out to dinner in her memory. The family also would like to acknowledge the wonderful, caring people at Craneville Place of Dalton who provided her with love and care.
