Pamela Smith-Walton, 58

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Pamela E. Smith-Walton, 58, of Pittsfield died on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Hillcrest Common. Born in Pittsfield, she was the daughter of former Mayor Charles L. Smith and Patricia A. Eastland Smith. Ms. Smith-Walton was a massage therapist. She taught numerous courses at Mildred Elley School. She leaves two daughters, Deinah Darling and her partner, Jacob, Danielle Brown and her husband, Jordan; a son, Stanley Dziewanowski and his wife, Cheryl; four brothers, Charles Smith Jr. and his wife, Mary Louise, Christopher Smith and his wife, Dale, Carlton Smith and his wife, Sarah, and Kazuo Smith; two sisters, Charleen O'Brien and Mary Beth Eckert and her husband, John; seven grandchildren and her former husband, William Walton. She was predeceased by two granddaughters, Natalie Brown and Elizabeth Johnson. Her love of stones, birds, butterflies and flowers was apparent when you entered her home. She deeply loved her family, children and grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE - A celebration of Ms. Smith-Walton's life was held prior to her passing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for HospiceCare of the Berkshires through Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Reunion There is great jubilation on our graduation When God's angels usher us home. Everyone has an invitation to the grand celebration As we gather around God's throne. There is praises and singing and golden bells ringing He prepared a great feast with plenty to eat And millions of saints to meet. It may be that we'll go one by one When our work on earth is done. So do not be sad, let your heart be glad, That my last race has been won. I'll be looking for you inside heaven's gate. Just go on serving and patiently wait. As we worship at his feet. God's timing is perfect and he is never late, Rejoice! The day is coming when we will keep that date.
