John W. Van Horn, 71
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — John Williams Van Horn, 71, of Williamstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at his home.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 17, 1944, son of Howard E. and Helen Estes Van Horn, he graduated from Mount Greylock High School and also graduated from Johnson and Wales University.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War era.
Mr. Van Horn was last employed by Williams College as a chef in its Food Service Department.
He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and a member of the Williamstown Grange and the Appalachian Trail Group. He enjoyed camping.
He leaves his sister, Dorothy Etman of North Adams, and nieces and nephews.
His sister Eleanor Rickert is deceased.
