Marjorie P. Haley, 82

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Marjorie Patricia Haley, 82, of 242 Cold Spring Road died, Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at Sweet Brook Health Care Center.

Born in Williamstown on Oct. 18, 1933, a daughter of Cecil and Anna Donahue Kemp, she graduated from the former Williamstown High School.

Mrs. Haley was employed as a secretary in the science department at Williams College for several years. She then dedicated her life to the caring of others, while raising her family, and was employed for more than 30 years as a nursing assistant at Sweet Brook Nursing Home. She also provided care to several local families in their homes. She assisted her husband in the operations of the Haley Family Farm.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a lifelong communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael.

Her husband, Richard Nelson Haley Sr., whom she married Oct. 17, 1960, died Jan. 17, 2013.

She leaves two daughters, Frances Pierce and her husband, Steven, of Pownal, Vt., and Sarah Tovani and her husband, Wayne, of North Adams; a son, Richard Nelson Haley Jr. and his wife, Jodi Spencer, of Williamstown; three grandchildren, Richie Haley III, Spencer Haley and Kiana Tovani, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Francis Kemp.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Haley will be celebrated Thursday, Jan.  14, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 4 to 6 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams.

Memorial donations are suggested for Village Ambulance or the St. Patrick's Food Pantry through the funeral home.
