Marguerite St. Cyr, 81

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Marguerite St. Cyr, 81, of North Adams died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, with her family by her side.

Born in North Adams on March 28, 1934, daughter of Henry and Irene Beaudin Blanquart, she attended the former Notre Dame School and completed its commercial course.

Mrs. St. Cyr was last employed as a school bus driver for the former J.T. Bus Lines and for Dufour Tours for more than 25 years, until her retirement. She also worked at the former Adams Supermarket and for Paul DiLego, CPA.

She was a communicant of  the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church, where she assisted at its bingo and bazaars. She enjoyed camping and was a member of North American Family Campers Association (NAFCA and its NoBeSoVe Mountaineers Chapter for many years. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Her husband, Ernest P. St. Cyr, whom she married on June 8, 1955, in Notre Dame Church, died on Dec. 27, 2011.

She leaves a daughter, Michelle Perry and her husband, Ted, of Colchester, Vt.; two sons, Richard St. Cyr and his wife, Marcia of Fairdale, Ky., and David St. Cyr and his wife, Donna, of North Adams; a brother, Paul Blanquart and his girlfriend, MaryEllen Eliasen, of North Adams; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. St. Cyr will be Monday, Jan. 18, at 8:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.  

Calling hours will be Sunday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 5 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to POPCares in care of the funeral home.

So very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. she was good friends with my aunt Dolores Allaire from Canada they always got together at my mom's, Martha Choquette, when they came to visit.She was a wonderful lady with a great sense of family. may she rest in peace.
