John A. Casuscelli Sr., 53
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — John Arthur Casuscelli Sr., 53, of Reeves Street died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016.
Born in North Adams on May 28, 1962, son of Elizabeth Racine Casuscelli Crosier of North Adams and the late Louis James Casuscelli, he graduated from McCann Technical School.
A veteran of the Navy, he later served in the Massachusetts National Guard.
Mr. Casuscelli was employed as a chef in several local restaurants and most recently at Cascade School Supplies.
He enjoyed cooking, and especially spending time with his children and family.
Besides his mother and her husband, Neal, of North Adams, he leaves a son, John Arthur Casuscelli Jr. of Pittsfield; two daughters, Misty Casuscelli of the town of Florida and Summer Casuscelli of North Adams; two sisters, Karen LaBombard and her husband, Raymond, of North Adams and Anne Reynolds and her husband, Glenn, of Adams; two brothers, Michael Casuscelli and his wife, Janet, of Fortville, Ind., and Steven Casuscelli of North Adams; his grandson- Lauro Kreissman III; his fiancée, Kimberly Butler of North Adams; his former wife, Tammy Moon Poirot of the town of Florida; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and several close friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Casuscelli will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 26, at 11 from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb. 25, from 3 to 6 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Vincent de Paul Society through the funeral home.
