I had the pleasure of getting to know Jack when I would visit my mother. He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed talking to me about Norwich, as my daughter went there. I will miss his warm smile and our military talks. So very sorry.

Jack exemplified a true spirit of love for his community, having volunteered so much of his time to so many civic and charitable efforts. His life has been fully lived and all remembrances will be of his kindness and real zest for life. His death leaves us without one of the real advocates for our towns and leaves many (including me) without a friend full of life and humor. Part of the spirit of the Berkshires has been taken away.
