Mary Rose Marony, 85
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mary Rose (Blay) Marony, 85, of North Adams died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in North Adams.
She was born in North Adams on December 19, 1930, daughter of Godfrey and Valeda (Desormeaux) Blay. She attended Drury High School.
Mary Rose worked at the Clark Biscuit Co, Wall-Streeter Shoe Co, and was last employed by CB Sports until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She enjoyed embroidery.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald R. Marony, whom she married on April 18, 1953; two brothers, Joseph Blay of Adams and Godfrey Frank Blay Jr. of Granville, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, including Valida Frank, Celia Wojnicki, William Blay and Arthur Blay.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary Rose Marony will be celebrated Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
