Joan M. Harrington, 77

SAVOY, Mass. — Mrs. Joan M. (Beebe) Harrington, 77, of 111 Main Road died on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at her home. 

She was born in Adams on August 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Arthur and Marion (Godfrey) Beebe. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School. 

Mrs. Harrington last worked as a stationary inspector for Crane & Co., North Adams, until retiring after 19 years. 

She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed her trips to various casinos and had also enjoyed square dancing. 

She is survived by her husband, James R. Harrington; her son, Stephen Garvie of North Adams; her daughter, Sandra Raymond and her husband John of North Adams; her stepson, Jeffrey Harrington; and her stepdaughter Lori King and her husband Steven, all of North Adams; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one step-granddaughter. 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Merrick. 

Funeral notice: A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, at noon in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Family and friends are invited to attend. 

Burial will be private for the family at a later date. 

There are no calling hours.  The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial donations be made to the Adams Council on Aging, 3 Hoosac St., Adams, MA 01220.
