Linda M. Varuzzo, 64

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Linda Marie (Goewey) Varuzzo, 64, of North Adams died Sunday July 24, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center-North Adams.

She was born in North Adams on September 2, 1951, daughter of James and Doris (Haskell) Goewey. She graduated from Drury High School.

Linda was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. After raising her family, she was employed at Stop & Shop in North Adams.

Linda loved trips to the casino, puzzles and card games.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald J. Varuzzo, whom she married in 1984 in St. Francis of Assisi Church; three daughters, including Bobbi Jo Gallagher and her fiancé Roland Rylander of Adams, Jennifer Beer of Clarksburg and Ashley Varuzzo of North Adams.; five grandchildren, including Alyssa Rylander, Lucas Rylander, Carson Rylander, Abigail Beer and David Atwell; two brothers, Michael Goewey of Worcester and James Goewey of North Adams, her mother-in-law, Dorothy Varuzzo; and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother, William Robert Goewey.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Linda Varuzzo will be Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Thursday morning from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of the funeral home.
