Stanley J. Ziemba Jr., 81

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Stanley J. Ziemba Jr., 81, of Adams died on Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.

He was born in Adams on May 26, 1935, a son of the late Stanley and Veronica (Pytko) Ziemba. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Mr. Ziemba worked as a dairy farmer all of his life, operating Broadlawn Farm in Adams, which was founded by his father, until retiring several years ago. Stan loved spending time with his family and friends. He took great pleasure in hunting, fishing, the seashore, trips to the casino and sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Doris Faltus, whom he married on August 24, 1956; one son, Michael Ziemba and his wife Terry of Adams; two daughters, Mary Ann Hartley and her husband Hilary of White Plains, N.Y. and Judith Milesi of Adams; two sisters, Jeannette Sworzen of Adams and Suzanne Norton of Webster, N.Y.; three brothers, Eugene Ziemba of Adams, John Ziemba of Savoy and Victor Ziemba of Adams; seven  grandchildren, including Michael Ziemba Jr. and his wife JoAnne of North Adams, Laura Crane and her husband Curtis of Adams, Sarah Ziemba and her companion Wyatt Furey of Cheshire, Sylvie and Amelie Hartley, both of White Plains, N.Y., and Andrew and Austin Milesi, both of Adams; three great-grandchildren, including Taylor, Chase and Colton Ziemba, all of North Adams; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was predeceased by four sisters, Bertha Brandley, Alice Rosenburg, Shirley Goff and Patricia Butterfield.

Funeral notice: Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Outdoorsmen for Youth, PO Box 122, Adams, MA 01220, or to the Berkshire VNA, 75 South Church St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Arrangements are under the direction of Paciorek Funeral Home.
