Richard Morin, 76

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. Richard Morin, 76, of 532 State St. died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at home.

Born in Providence, R.I., on Jan. 5, 1925, son of Carl and Anna Nicholas Morin, he attended schools in North Adams, including Drury High School.

A World War II Army veteran, he served with Company A, 67th Signal Battalion. He received many campaign medals, including the Bronze Star.

Mr. Morin was employed by Excelsior Printing Co. as a machine operator, retiring in 1990. Before that, he worked for several years at the former Sprague Electric Co.

He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown. He enjoyed skiing and fishing.

He leaves two sisters, with whom he made his home, Julia Morin and Josephine Johnson, both of North Adams; and three brothers, Gouch Morin, Joseph Morin and Michael Morin, all of North Adams.

He was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers, Hamma Morin, Lillian Colo, Edward Morin, John Morin and Anthony Morin.

FUNERAL NOTICE The funeral and burial will take place at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. At Mr. Morin's request, his body will be donated to the Harvard Medical School Anatomical Gifts Program in Boston. Memorial donations are suggested for St. Jude Children's Hospital through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
