Stella Mae Malloy, 61
ADAMS, Mass. — Stella Mae Malloy, 61, of 75 Commercial St. died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, where she was admitted earlier that day after being struck by a car in Adams.
Born in North Adams on July 8, 1940, daughter of Warren E.N. and Susie Cothran Randall, she attended schools there, including Drury High School. She moved to Adams in the early 1980s.
Mrs. Malloy was last employed for several years by the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. in North Adams.
While in North Adams, she was a member of First Baptist Church. She volunteered with various civic organizations in Adams. She was a New York Yankees fan and enjoyed horses, painting and writing poetry.
She leaves two sons, Gary A. Malloy of Adams and Allen G. Malloy of California; a stepson, George O. Malloy of Pittsfield; two daughters, Susan R. Malloy of Pittsfield and Donna J. Malloy of Adams; five brothers, Warren G. Randall, James Randall and Kenneth Randall, all of North Adams, Trueman Randall of Adams and Richard Randall of Morgantown, N.C., and six grandchildren.
Another son, Jeffrey G. Malloy, died in 1963. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Hosier.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Malloywill be Thursday at 10 from First Baptist Church in North Adams, with the Rev. Joseph H. DeCosta, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, North Adams, will be Wednesday from 6 to 8.
