Eugene Beaupre

Eugene M. Beaupre, 74, of 10 Grant St. died Saturday evening at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on March 4, 1928, son of Eugene P. and Zepherine Gagnon Beaupre, he attended local schools and graduated from the former Drury Trade School in North Adams. He was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams as a draftsman for 20 years. He was then a self-employed general contractor for 20 years, retiring in 1992. Mr. Beaupre was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas. He leaves his wife, the former Dorothy Mancuso, whom he married Sept. 11, 1948; a son, Eugene P. Beaupre of Hanover; and a granddaughter. The funeral will take place Friday, May 31, at 9 from the TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's of Assumption Church in Cheshire, celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. Burial will follow in the Maple Street Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 6 to 9.
