Clifford R. Shaw Jr., 37
ADAMS, Mass. — Clifford Raymond "Kippy" Shaw Jr., 37, of 20 Hoosac St. died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at North Adams Regional Hospital, where he was admitted on Friday following a brief Illness.
Born in Peekskill, N.Y., on Aug. 14, 1965, a son of Clifford Raymond Shaw and his wife, Kathleen Jean Winters, of North Adams, he was educated in Beacon, N.Y., schools and graduated from Beacon High School. He attended Hudson Valley Opportunity Industrial Center and also completed courses at Duchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Mr. Shaw devoted his life in the service of others in need and distress and provided assistance when it was needed. He was a member of Harvest Christian Ministries of Bennington, Vt., and was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Besides his parents, he leaves a sister, Emanuela "Josie" Bunt of North Adams; a brother Benedict Shaw of Marlborough; his longtime companion Cathy Fay Crowther of Adams; 12 nieces and nephews, two grandnephews and his kitten Mittens.
His sister Kathleen Shaw is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mr. Shaw will take place Friday Aug. 23, at 11 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapels, 74 Marshall Street, North Adams with Robert Lebert, pastor of Harvest Christian Ministries of Bennington, Vt., officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, Aug. 23, from 9:30 until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in his memory through the funeral home.
