Dorothy L. Skorupski, 82

ADAMS, Mass. - Dorothy L. Skorupski, 82, of 65 Melrose St. died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at Williamstown Commons after a long illness. Born in North Adams on Sept. 20, 1920, daughter of Joseph I. and Delia Perrault O'Brien Cote, she attended the former St. Joseph's School in North Adams. She was employed by Pedrin's Dairy Bar on Curran Highway in North Adams until her retirement in 1975, and previously worked at Sprague Electric Co. until 1965. She moved to Adams when she married Alexander Skorupski in St. Francis' Church on June 8, 1940. He died on Sept. 22, 2000. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. She leaves three sons, David R. Skorupski of Hampton, Va., and Robert Skorupski and Ronald Skorupski, both of North Adams; a sister, Ruth Morrissey of Williamstown, and 10 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Skorupski at age 4, and her brothers William and John O'Brien. FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Skorupski will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 10 in St. Thomas' Church. There will be a prayer service at 9:15 in the McBRIDE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 7. The family suggests donations in her memory to the Williamstown Commons Patients Fund, 25 Adams Road, Williamstown, MA 01267, or through the funeral home.
