Donald A. Moulton Sr., 73
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Donald Albert Moulton Sr., 73, of 111 Prospect St. died Saturday afternoon, Sept. 6, 2003, at home.
Born in Manchester, N.H., on Nov. 3, 1930, son of Leroy Moulton and Hazel MacIntosh Moulton Lillie, he came to North Adams at age 3 with his family and attended local schools. He was a 1948 graduate of Drury High School.
Mr. Moulton had been employed by the New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. for 35 years, until 1985. He then established the former M&M Communications with a partner, John Millis. He retired in 2001.
He was a member of First Congregational Church, where he served as a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 88. He was also an Eagle Scout. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Adams Country Club.
He and his wife, the former Margaret Bruno, were married Aug. 25, 1951.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Donald A. Moulton Jr. of Lanesborough, Steven A. Moulton of Windsor and Drew A. Moulton of North Adams; a daughter, Cathy L. Bruno of Clarksburg; a brother, Robert R. Moulton of North Adams; a stepbrother, Wilfred Lillie of North Adams; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services and burial Mr. Moulton will be private at the convenience of the family in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire Inc. through the AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
