Inez M. Fierro, 78
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Inez Maria Fierro, 78, of St. Joseph's Court died Friday evening, Oct. 15, 2004, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 25, 1926, daughter of Giuseppe and Maria Rossi Benoni, she was a 1944 graduate of Drury High School.
Mrs. Fierro was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony's Church. She was a member of the Sprague Electric Retirees Club and the Jollee Circle. She enjoyed walking and doing embroidery.
Her husband, Anthony Peter Fierro, whom she married June 25, 1949, in St. Anthony's Church, died April 1, 1997.
She leaves three daughters, Gail A. Cappuccio of Merrimack, N.H., Nancy J. Niles of Bennington and Susan M. Rocco of West Peabody; two sisters, Rose Maselli of Adams and Martha Robare of North Adams; a brother, Anselmo Benoni of North Adams, and five grandchildren, Laura Cappuccio, Michael Cappuccio, Maria Fierro, Ashley Rocco and Brandon Rocco.
She was predeceased by a sister, Helen J. Benoni, on April 12, 1984.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Services for Mrs. Fierro will take place Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 9:45 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 68 Marshall Ave., with the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire, St. Anthony's Church or Elder Services through the funeral home, 74 Marshall Ave., North Adams, MA 01247.
