Nancy Scalise Cozzaglio, 66

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Nancy Carol Scalise Cozzaglio, 66, of 150 Ashland St., died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at her daughter's home in New Hartford, N.Y., after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born in North Adams on July 4, 1939, daughter of Henry S. Wright and Vera Kent Thomas Wright Green, she attended local schools and graduated in 1957 from Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Cozzaglio worked for ARAMARK Food Service at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She retired in December 2004, after 16 years. Prior to that, she worked for Head Start in Pittsfield, the Williams Inn in Williamstown, and the former Capitol Diner. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and enjoyed traveling and camping. She and her husband, William Cozzaglio, were married June 3, 2000. He died March 29, 2005. Besides her daughter, Dale Scalise-Smith, she leaves four sons, Michael Scalise of Wilmington, Arthur Scalise of Upton, Joseph Scalise Jr. of Lanesborough, and Marco "Tony" Scalise of Clearwater, Fla.; two stepsons, Michael P. Cozzaglio of North Adams, and James T. Cozzaglio of Victorville, Calif.; three brothers, Clifton "Sonny" Thomas of Clarksburg, Donald Wright Sr. of Adams, and Henry Wright of North Adams; a sister, Shirley Goodell of North Bennington, Vt.; her former husband, Joseph Scalise Sr. of Pittsfield, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Thomas, and a sister, Theresa Wright Malloy. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Nancy Cozzaglio, who died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, will be Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. A memorial scholarship in Mrs. Cozzaglio's memory has been set up at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Memorial donations may be made to MCLA Foundation Advancement Office, 375 Church St., North Adams.
