Jean C. Gagne, 74

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Jean Christine Gagne, 74, of St. Joseph's Court, 85 Eagle St., died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at home. Born in North Adams on April 3, 1933, daughter of George E. and Evalyn Wilson Malcolm Crockwell, she was educated in local schools. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, Mrs. Gagne was employed as a nursing assistant at various nursing homes in Pittsfield until her retirement. She returned to North Adams in 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church and, in Pittsfield, of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies' Auxiliary. Her husband, Roland R. Gagne, whom she married Jan. 8, 1955, died Dec. 6, 1959. She leaves a son, Steven R. Gagne and his fiancée, Susan Raimer and her son, Alex Raimer, of Pittsfield; three sisters, her twin, Joan Delano of Pittsfield, Edith DaSacco of North Adams and Dorothy Whitmarsh of North Carolina; a brother, David M. Crockwell of North Carolina; a close cousin, Robert Daniels of Lenox, and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, George T. Crockwell on Aug. 6, 1991. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Gagne will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, any donations in her memory are suggested for the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Berkshire County through the funeral home.
