Dorothy A. Cote, 86
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dorothy A. Cote, 86, of 189 East Quincy St., died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on March 14, 1924, a daughter of Arthur and Dora Lavigne, she attended local schools including the former Notre Dame School.
Mrs. Cote was employed at the former General Cable Co. in Williamstown and at the former Sprague Electric Co.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her husband, Joseph Paul Cote, whom she married on June 18, 1949, in the former Notre Dame Church, died on March 15, 1996.
She leaves a daughter, Paula Cote and her husband, Robert, of North Adams; a brother, Roger Lavigneof North Adams; a granddaughter, Danielle Kaczowski and her husband, Chad, of Adams; three great-grandchildren, Kayla Kaczowski, Thai Kaczowski and Dagon Kaczowski; three stepgrandchildren, Wanda Forrest and her husband, David, of Pownal, Vt., Jason Cote and his wife, Nicole, and Angela Cote, all of North Adams; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Zachary Forrest and Reis Forrest; a godchild, Theresa Gallagher and her husband, James, of Conway, N.H.; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Lavigne.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Cote will take place Friday, March 26, at 10:15 a.m., at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
