Bernard F. Tatro, 74
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Bernard F. Tatro, 74, of Deland, Fla., formerly of North Adams, died Monday, May 31, 2010, in Florida.
Born in North Adams on July 16, 1935, son of Leo and Blanche Lamarre Tatro, he attended city schools. He also had resided in Clarksburg for a time.
Mr. Tatro served four years in the Air Force and had been manager of the Mohawk Forest Apartments at one time.
He was an avid swimmer and loved to go on cruises and tag sale expeditions. He also was involved in Cub Scouts when his sons were young and enjoyed woodworking.
He leaves three sons and their wives, Gary and Barbara Tatro of Windsor Locks, Conn., Timothy Tatro of Savoy and Jeffery and Kelly Tatro of North Adams; two daughters and their husbands, Lisa and David Nassif of Savoy and Karen and David Fachini of Williamstown; a sister, Doris Simon of Garden Grove, Calif.; his former wife, Beverly Tatro of Savoy, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Roger Tatro, Raymond Tatro, Norman Tatro and stepbrother Ernest Means.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Tatro will be held Wednesday, June 30, at 11 at St. Elizabeth's Church on Marshall Street, North Adams. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
There will be no calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
