Robert M. Tyler, 94
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Robert Marquis Tyler, 94, of 74 Park Ave. died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Lafayette, N.Y., on Feb. 14, 1916, son of Elwyn and L. Jessie Rolfe Tyler, he attended North Adams schools, including Drury High School.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Tyler was employed as a carpenter for most of his life and a member of First Baptist Church.
His wife, the former Felixienne L. LaBrecque, whom he married on July 19, 1947, died on July 13, 2003.
He leaves a daughter, Marcia Mowe of North Adams; a son, Thomas Tyler of North Adams; four grandchildren, Anthony Mowe of Portland, Ore., Christopher Mowe of North Adams and Rebecca Tyler and Amanda Tyler, both of Springfield, his niece, Joan Haskins, and nephew, Richard Tyler Jr.
His siblings Dorothy Betti and Richard, William and Theodore Tyler.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Tyler will be Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
