Michael R. Grogan II, 30
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Michael R. "Mikey" Grogan II, 30, of North Adams unexpectedly died Monday, April 4, 2011, at home.
Raised in North Adams, the son of Michael Grogan and of Cheryl Condron Grogan of North Adams, he attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School, where he was a member of the Drury Drama Team. He also studied theater at Berkshire Community College.
Mr. Grogan was passionate about drama and the arts. He was a co-founder of and director with Mill City Productions and worked with KIDSACT in the summer. He was employed for several years with North Adams School System.
He loved to laugh and adored his family, especially his nieces and nephew Taylor and Austin Grogan and Alina and Nicole Condron. He touched so many through his love of theatre and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his parents and nieces and nephews, he leaves two brothers, Ryan Grogan and Jay Condron; his paternal grandparents, Gary Grogan and Betty Graves; maternal grandmother, Barbara Condron, and many family members and friends.
His maternal grandfather, Francis Condron, predeceased him.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A private service for Mr. Grogan will take place Friday morning, April 8. A public celebration of his life will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at Mill City Productions, Western Gateway Heritage State Park, North Adams.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 7, from 4 to 7 at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for Mill City Productions through the funeral home.
