Linda L. Lavanway, 60

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Linda Lou Lavanway, 60, of 484 Middle Road died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in North Adams on April 25, 1951, daughter of Jesse and Verna LaFrance Bushee, she attended schools in North Adams, including Drury High School. Mrs. Lavanway had been employed at Buxton School in Williamstown. She had earlier worked at the former Rudnick's and Drummonds cleaners and Mammoth Mart and Kings department stores, then for the Clarksburg and North Adams schools. She was a member and past president of the Clarksburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her animals and the many strays that would show up at her home. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her granddaughter. She leaves her husband, Harold B. Lavanway, whom she married on May 6, 1972, in Readsboro (Vt.) Community Church; a son, Brian J. Lavanway of Clarksburg; a sister, Lorraine J. Choquette and her husband, Peter, of Clarksburg; three brothers, David Bushee and his wife, Marcia, and James Bushee, all of North Carolina, and Francis Bushee and his wife, Alta, of North Adams; her granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Lavanway of Clarksburg, and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Jesse "Butch" Bushee, Maurice "Cricket" Bushee and Laurie Ann Bushee-Harper FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Lavanway will take place Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial in Clarksburg Cemetery will be at a later date. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clarksburg Fire Company or Friends of Renal Dialysis (FORD) at Berkshire Medical Center through the funeral home.

I am so sorry for your loss. Linda was a wonderful woman and has been an inspiration to me in my life. She never let anything get her down. Much love to everyone.
