Elizabeth J. Horsfall, 79
ADAMS, Mass. - Elizabeth Joyce "Betty" Horsfall, 79, of 200 A Howland Ave. died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at her home.
Born in North Adams on April 23, 1932, daughter of Leon and Elizabeth Vokey Beckwith, she graduated from Drury High School.
Mrs. Horsfall was employed by the former F. Schumacher Co. in Adams and later in its Delaware offices until her retirement.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading.
Her husband, Joseph A. Horsfall, whom she married on April 24, 1954, died May 19, 1989.
She leaves a son, William Horsfall of Adams, who was her caregiver; four daughters, Kathleen Guertin and Sandra Horsfall, both of North Adams, Barbara Madigan of Ellsworth, Maine, and Donna Thomas of Adams; two sisters, Florence Longstaff of North Adams and Phyllis Roy of Chelmsford; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Her daughter Judy Horsfall died in 1971 and three brothers are also deceased, Edward, Leon and Donald Beckwith.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Horsfall will be Friday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at Jesus Saves Tabernacle in North Adams. Burial will be at a later date.
