Cecile M. Wojnicki, 82
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Cecile Mary Wojnicki, 82, of 86 Lincoln St., Riverview Apartments, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Valida A. Wojnicki, at 109 Vista St., Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on May 12, 1929, daughter of Godfrey and Valeda Desormeaux Blay, she attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School.
Mrs. Wojnicki worked at the former Clark Biscuit Co., and also at the former Pfister Aluminum and Sprague Electric companies.
She was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of its Rosary Society.
Her husband, Edward F. Wojnicki, whom she married on May 28, 1950, died on June 1, 1984.
Besides her daughter, she leaves two sons, Robert E. Wojnicki of North Adams and Frank S. Wojnicki of Pittsfield; a sister, Rosemary Marony of North Adams; three brothers, Joseph Blay of Adams, Arthur Blay of North Adams and Frank Blay of Granville, N.Y., five grandchildren, Amanda Wojnicki, Jeffrey Wojnicki, Christopher Wojnicki, Kyle Wojnicki and Patrick Wojnicki, and nieces and nephews.
Another son, Edward Wojnicki, died at birth and her siblings Valida Frank and William Blay are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Wojnicki will be Saturday morning, Feb. 4, at 9:30 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday, Feb. 3, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in care of the funeral home.
