Patricia Rondeau, 78
STAMFORD, Vt. - Patricia Rondeau, 78, of 103 Rondeau Road died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in North Adams, Mass., on Oct. 26, 1933, a daughter of Lawrence and Alice Chalifoux Denault, she graduated from Drury High School there.
Mrs. Rondeau was employed by the former New England Telephone Co. and its successor, Verizon, working in the customer service department for many years. She was first employed at the former Lamb's Stationary Store in North Adams.
She was communicant of St. John Bosco Church and taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes for many years. She was a member of the Stamford Senior Club and New England Telephone Pioneer Club.
Her husband, Francis A. "Pete" Rondeau, whom she married June 25, 1955, in St. John Bosco Church, died Aug. 30, 1989.
She leaves three sons, Philip Rondeau and his wife, Susan, with whom she made her home, Peter Rondeau of Pownal and Paul Rondeau of North Adams; a daughter, Pamela Jozefiak and her husband, James, of Adams, Mass.; two sisters, Sandra Torchia and Debra Kushnet, both of Clarksburg, Mass.; six brothers, Lawrence Denault of San Diego, William Denault of Middlefield, Mass., Alfred Denault and Edward Denault, both of Clarksburg, Ronald Deanault of Adams and Gary Denault of Utica, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, Adrienne, Jennifer, Peter, Shauna, Ethan, Tyler, Mary and Paul Jr. and Brian, and any great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers Francis "Pete" Denault and Daniel Denault.
FUNERAL HOME - A liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Rondeau will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 16, at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will take place in the spring.
Graveside committal services will be held Saturday, June 2, at 11 a.m. in Millard Cemetery in Stamford.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for VNA and Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
