Theodora D. Delisle, 79
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Theodora Delores "Dora" Delisle, 79, of 29 Walker St. died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on March 4, 1932, daughter of Theodore and Philomena Blasi Rotolo, she attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1950.
Mrs. Delisle was employed by Nassif's Pharmacy as its lunch-counter manager until her retirement. She also worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. and, in her early years, at the former Molly's Bakery.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She and her husband, James A. Delisle, were married on Sept. 20, 1952, in the former St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Elizabeth Malloy and her husband, Alan Blier, of Clarksburg; a son, Daniel Delisle of North Adams; a brother, Fred Rotolo of Orange, Fla.; three sisters, Constance Tanguay and Elizabeth "Liz" Detwilder, both of Arizona, and Marie "Dolly" Berger of the state of Florida; five grandchildren, Michael Delisle, Katelyn Malloy, Kelsey Malloy, Mitchell Malloy and Kara Delisle; a great-grandchild, Miaah Delisle, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A sister died in infancy.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Delisle will be held Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday, March 2, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
