Eileen F. Grieco, 75
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Eileen Florence Grieco, 75, of 1033 Massachusetts Ave. died Friday July 6, 2012, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on July 5, 1937, daughter of William Fuller and Isabelle Benoit Fuller McGraw, she attended North Adams schools.
Mrs. Grieco was employed at Hoosac Savings Bank for many years until her retirement. Before that, she worked as a waitress at the former Tally House Restaurant and at the Williams Inn in Williamstown, later moving into an office position at the inn.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church. She enjoyed ceramics and knitting. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and travel.
She and her husband, Nicholas J. Grieco, were married on April 18, 1964, in Notre Dame Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Michele Boland of North Adams; a son, Nicholas J. Grieco Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Hampton Beach, N.H.; four grandchildren, Rebecca L. McConnell and her husband, J., who are expecting Mrs. Grieco's first great-grandchild in October, James R. Boland and Jesse A. Boland, all of North Adams, and Nicholas J. Grieco III of Hampton Beach; and nieces and nephews.
Her sisters, Claire Robert and Mary Alice Lefebvre are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Grieco will be Thursday, July 12, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 11, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
