Florence E. Hussey, 91
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Florence E. Hussey, 91, formerly Walnut Street, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Ridgewood Health Center in Bedford, N.H.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 3, 1920, a daughter of Frederick and Lillian Collette Walden, she attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. Hussey was employed as an assistant supervisor at North Adams Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was first employed by the former Clark Biscuit Co. and then at the former Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown.
After her retirement, her passion was traveling with her friends and three generations of family. She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Her husband, William Morton Hussey, whom she married Nov. 21, 1937, in Haverhill, died on Aug. 22, 2002
She leaves a daughter, Donna Hussey of Hollis, N.H.; a sister, Geraldine Leonesio and her husband, John, of Williamstown; two grandchildren, Jody Graves of Plymouth and Tiffany Rotolo of Mount Vernon, N.H.; two great-granddaughters, Alexis Lane and Siena Paige Blastos, and nieces and nephews and grandnieces and -nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Frederick, Richard and Paul Walden.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Hussey will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Donations can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston or the James Rotolo Scholarship Fund through the funeral home.
