Angelo J. Burro Jr., 62
CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Angelo Joseph Burro Jr., 62, of Gates Avenue died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at home.
Born in Adams on May 7, 1950, son of Angelo J. Burro Sr. and Edna Champney Burro, he attended Clarksburg schools and graduated from Drury high School in North Adams.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged.
Mr. Burro worked for many years in construction and retired from the Massachusetts Highway Department as a bridge foreman one. He had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. before entering the service.
Known as "Ange," his family fondly remembers him as a kind and generous soul who loved farming and caring for his Hereford cattle, beekeeping, gardening, hunting and fishing.
He leaves a sister, Paula Wells of Clarksburg; a brother, Gary Burro of North Adams; an aunt, Rachel Champney of Williamstown; two nieces, Allyse Wiencek and Angela Burro, both of North Adams, and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother Philip J. Burro.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mr. Burro will take place Friday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. in Clarksburg Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
