Eva Mary Trombley, 92
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Eva Mary Trombley, 92, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and formerly of North Adams, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills.
Born in Mooers Forks, N.Y., on March 22, 1920, daughter of William and Irene DeCoste Brassard, she attended Mooers Forks High School. She moved to North Adams in 1945.
Mrs. Trombley worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. for 31 years, until her retirement in 1982.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church. Since living in Zephyrhills, she was a member of the Moose Lodge there, at which she was an avid dancer until mid-2012.
Her husband, Frederick E. Trombley, whom she married on Nov. 22, 1937, died on June 18, 1996.
She leaves three daughters, Gloria DiGrigoli of Pittsfield and Sun City West, Ariz., Veleda Boucher of North Adams and Theresa Maino of Elk Grove, Calif.; a son, Donald F. Trombley of Zephyrhills; two sisters, Doris Levesque of Zephyrhills and Stella Lachapelle of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren, Lisa DiGrigoli Weber, Michael DiGrigoli, Alan, David, Gary and Craig Boucher, Jeffery, Daniel and John Trombley, Robin Moore, Kelly Maino Dowling, Julie Moore DeMarsico and April Maino Gaskins; 23 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her seven brothers predeceased her: Clarence, Alfred, Gerald, Lawrence, Paul, Joseph and Leonard Brassard.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Trombley will be Monday, Jan. 7, at 10:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Jan. 6, from 2 to 5 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference in care of the funeral home.
