Kathleen McCarthy, 67

January 21, 2013

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Kathleen Anne McCarthy, 67, of 130 Versailles Ave. died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Williamstown Commons.

Born in Adams on Sept. 17, 1945, a daughter of James and Beatrice Gageant McCarthy, she attended schools in North Adams including Drury High School.

Miss McCarthy was employed for many years at the former Sprague Electric Co. and was lastly at the Bennington (Vt.) School as a night awake counselor until poor health forced her retirement.

She loved all animals, nature and gardening.

Survivors include an uncle, Louis Gageant, and an aunt, Rita Renton, and several cousins and friends.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Miss McCarthy will take place Thursday, Jan. 17, at 2 at Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
