Lawrence P. Folino Sr., 89

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lawrence Paul Folino Sr., 89, of 69 Harris St. died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.

Born in North Adams on June 17, 1923, son of Anthony C. and Maria DeMarco Folino, he attended North Adams schools.

Mr. Folino was employed at the former W.R. Grace Co. in Adams for 18 years until his retirement. He earlier had been employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. for 20 years and at Purina Chow for a short time.

He was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church. He enjoyed collecting stamps.

He leaves a daughter, Rosemary St. Jean of Groton, Conn.; three sons, Ernest Folino of Wales, Maine, Theodore Folino of Wilmington, Vt., and Lawrence P. Folino Jr. of Adams; a sister, Mary Domenichini of North Adams; a brother, Anthony Folino of Williamstown; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters Venice Trombley and Celia Dufresne, and brothers Alfred Folino and Paul Folino.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Folino will be Monday, Feb. 4, at 1:30 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held Monday afternoon from 12:30 until 1:30 at the funeral home.
