Northern Berkshire Chorale Call for Singers
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Northern Berkshire Chorale has announced a call for singers for its spring 2010 season. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7:15-9:30 p.m. in Presser Hall on the Williams College campus.The first rehearsal is Monday, February 1 and new members are invited to attend. Dues are $40 per concert.
The choir will prepare pieces for a May concert featuring "Liturgia Domestica" by Alexander Gretchaninov, starring Konstantin Stepanov from New York City Opera, and works for chorus and organ by Benjamin Britten.
Leading the group is Andrea Goodman, the director of the Saratoga Choral Festival and the Cantilena Choir. She has directed the New England Conservatory Women’s Choir, the Concord (MA) Chorus, the Berkshire Bach Society, Skidmore Choruses, the NYU Choral Arts Society, and has a doctorate in conducting from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.
