Radiation Treatments for Prostate Cancer Discussion
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Medical Center will present a program on the use of radiation treatments for prostate cancer on Wednesday, May 23, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the BMC Auditorium.The program is free and open to the public, and would be of particular interest to men who have faced a diagnosis of prostate cancer and family who support them in their challenges.
Dr. Wade Gebara, medical director of radiation oncology for BMC, will discuss the use of external beam radiation, Brachy therapy, or seed implants, and hormone therapy as treatments for prostate cancer. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.
