Town meeting finally passed an article that would allow the town to purchase a truck for the water department superintendent. Voters gathered Tuesday for a second special town meeting to decide one article: to spend $34,750 to buy a truck with a plow for the water department. This time a recommendation from the water users was attached to the warrant article and the purchase of a new three-quarter ton truck sailed through with little resistance.

The town's water users are recommending the purchase of a new three-quarter ton pickup truck with a plow for the Water Department at a cost of nearly $35,000. The advisory vote took place Wednesday night after a lengthy and often heated conversation with the water commissioners. Those who attended the informational meeting at the Community Center overwhelmingly agreed to the purchase of a bigger truck with a plow.
