Harry Potter artist featured in upcoming exhibition12:00AM / Wednesday, February 18, 2004 Mary Grand Pré, the artist behind the hugely successful Harry Potter book series, has signed on to be a part of the Norman Rockwell Museum's upcoming exhibition, "Women in Illustration: Contemporary Visions and Voices (http://www.nrm.org/exhibits/women/)," opening March 6, 2004.
The exhibition, which will feature over seventy groundbreaking works by today's foremost women illustrators, will include selections from Grand Pré's illustrations for Harry Potter and other children's books.
Other artists showcased in the exhibition include Alice Carter, Kinuko Craft, and Barbara Nessim, who will present the lecture "True Confessions: My Adventures as an Illustrator" at the member's opening reception for the exhibition, being held on Saturday, March 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
