Elder Services Offers 'The Caregiver’s Journey'

- August 30, 2007

PITTSFIELD - Elder Services of Berkshire County is offering a five-part series, "The Caregiver’s Journey." The sessions are designed to allow caregivers to explore with others the challenges, rewards and demands of the caregiving experience.

Facilitated by Elder Services caregiver coordinators Bea Cowlin, Pat Morrisey and Margaret Ware, the series will examine the natural range of emotions common to the caregiving process. Those attending will be allowed to hear firsthand from actual caregivers through a series of videos.

"The Caregiver's Journey" will run on Sept. 5 and 19, Oct. 3, 17 and 31, from 2 to 4 p.m. and will take place at Elder Services of Berkshire County, 66 Wendell Ave. There is no charge for the series but advance registration is required.

To register or to receive more information, call Elder Services at 499-0524 or 800-544-5242.
