Pittsfield Voters Asked to Pick Mayoral CandidatesStaff reports - September 24, 2007
 | | Mayoral candidates Donna Walto and Stephen Fillio | PITTSFIELD - Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, Sept. 25, for a primary election to choose two mayoral candidates who will face off in the general election on Nov. 6. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mayor James M. Ruberto is running against Donna Walto and Stephen Fillio for a third two-year term. Ruberto faced off against two challengers in a 2005 runoff, garnering some 65 percent of the vote before going on to win re-election.
Schools will be closed in Pittsfield because some of the polling stations are in the schools.
