Legacy Official Earns CFP Designation

- October 25, 2007

Katherine B. Lambert
PITTSFIELD - A Legacy Banks investment executive has earned certified financial planner certification.

Katherine B. Lambert, a vice president with Legacy Portfolio Management, the investment division, earned the designation, which represents the highest certification standard in the field of financial planning.

Michael Christopher, president and chief operating officer of Legacy Banks, congratulated Lambert on her success saying, "This is a wonderful accomplishment for Kathy and for Legacy. We applaud her for reaching a designation, which helps demonstrate to clients our competent, professional and ethical financial planning practices."

Lambert currently oversees compliance, operations and trust administration within LPM, a position she has held for 11 years. She was a branch manager with Legacy Banks from 1993 to 1996 and with Key Bank from 1988 to 1993. She also was a senior banking officer with Boston Safe Deposit and Trust.

Lambert holds a bachelor's degree from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and has completed two banking programs – trust administration and fiduciary services and general banking and branch management – with the New England School of Banking at Williams College. In addition to earning CFP certification, she is a candidate to become a chartered financial consultant in advanced financial planning.
