Pittsfield Man Named Creative Director of BBQ - November 07, 2007
GREAT BARRINGTON - Adam Michael Rothberg has been named creative director of BBQ: Berkshire Business Quarterly, the new quarterly business lifestyle magazine published by the award-winning team behind Berkshire Living.
"Adam Rothberg is a talented designer, and we are fortunate to have him making a contribution to the new BBQ," said Michael Zivyak, founder and publisher of both publications. "As a Pittsfield native, he really understands the unique style of the Berkshires."
Rothberg is an award-winning graphic designer formerly with Lenox-based design house Studio Two. He now runs his own studio. Rothberg has been designing magazines for seven years and has worked in other print media since the early 1990s.
He attended the School of Fine and Applied Art at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he studied industrial design.
Rothberg is known for his career as performing singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording producer. He has performed at many Berkshire music venues including the National Music Foundation, Dream Away Lodge, Club Helsinki, and the Colonial theater. Rothberg plans to release his second album in 2008.
"It is a pleasure to have Adam Rothberg on the BBQ team," Seth Rogovoy, editor-in-chief of BBQ, said. "As well as being a superb musician, Adam brings a daring sense of design to our new publication. He has created a serious business magazine that is visually compelling, contemporary and fresh."
BBQ profiles leading businesspeople in the region, reports local business trends, and shares successful business practices and concepts with the same attention to good writing, photography, and design that has made Berkshire Living a multiple award-winning success. |
