Artisans of the Berkshires, a popular web store featuring regional artists, will be sponsoring its third group show at the Crowne Plaza Grand Ballroom on Sunday, November 25 from 11 am to 6 pm.
With two successful shows under their belt, the event will again showcase the fine art and crafts from many of its members, plus eight other well-know regional artists who were specifically invited to participate. The works on display, all available for sale, include fine art photography by Jeffrey Gardner, Debbie Drumm and Judy Gallup, original paintings in watercolor, acrylic, oil and collage by Scott Taylor, Marguerite Bride, Skeets Richards, Diane Firtell, Naomi Schwartz and Anne Pasko; original etchings by Nina Ritson; hand-crafted Shaker boxes by Joe Amuso, and barnboard frames by Jeff Gardner. Also included are works of pottery by Beaconsfield Design, artful clothing and accessories created from neckties by Berkshire Fabrications,; eclectic and comical manipulated Polaroid prints by Alexandra Warsaw, and jewelry by Joyce Meeks and Emily Betti. And that is just to name a few. The artists will be present to display their wares and meet the public.
And what was once an added bonus but has now become a regular event, as, attendees can once again participate in a free drawing of items donated by the participating artists. Food service will be available and provided by Crowne Plaza.
There is no admission charge. This is a festive way for the whole family to usher in the holiday season.
Live music will be provided by a variety of Berkshire musicians including Dave Vandebogart, Sean Callaghan with John Culpo, Mary Verdi, Lance Gallup, and Jack Waldheim.
"Artisans of the Berkshires" was created in 2006 by Pittsfield native Jeff Gardner to promote and support local artisans from Berkshire County and surrounding areas of western Massachusetts. Besides showcasing works by the members at events and art shows, the online gallery (www.artisansoftheberkshires.com) sells works of art created by Berkshires own home-grown talent, from one of the most beautiful regions of the country.
More information about Artists of the Berkshires can be found on their website or by calling Gardner at 413-429-7172. Artists and artisans inquiries are encouraged.
