NORTH ADAMS - CIAO (Community Italian American Organization) of the Berkshires will be hosting a "Lumberjack Breakfast" at St. Anthony's Parish Center on Sunday, Dec. 9.
The breakfast will be from 8:30 to noon.
The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. The menu includes ham, sausage, eggs, home fries, fried bread dough, pancakes, coffee, tea, milk and hot chocolate.
There will be a special appearance by Santa Claus.
CIAO of the Berkshires is an organization whose mission is to promote Italian heritage through education and community involvement. It raises funds for charitable contributions and scholarships for individuals and the community. It works closely with other Italian-American service and fraternal organizations to recognize Italian contributions to our society.

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
