Simon's Rock Free Trial and the Mount Holyoke M&CS perform together

- November 29, 2007

The Kellogg Music Center at Simon’s Rock will be host to the Simon’s Rock a cappella group, Free Trial, and the Mount Holyoke M & CS on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.

Free Trial was established in February of 2005 and has been a prominent part of Simon’s Rock culture ever since. The Mount Holyoke M & CS is one of the five a cappella groups at Mount Holyoke College. The two groups will perform together on Saturday.

Free Trial sings a cappella arrangements of mostly contemporary music. They perform on campus and at other local and regional venues, and have performed for local organization fund raising events. M & CS are named for an old Mount Holyoke tradition of serving milk and cookies or crackers to students during study breaks.

The $2 suggested donation will be given to an AIDS related organization.
