More Snow
The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend. |

BCC Players to Hold Auditions for Winter Musical - December 16, 2007
PITTSFIELD - The BCC Players will be holding open auditions for anyone interested in performing in the musical "Urinetown," directed by Tom Towne and Ellen Shanahan.
Auditions are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 in the Robert Boland Theatre of the Koussevitzky Arts Center at Berkshire Community College. Auditioners should bring a prepared song with sheet music and monologue. An accompanist will be provided.
Scheduled for presentation in February, BCC is the first area amateur group to receive the rights to produce this show.
The play, inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny.
It has been praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a musical could be because of its perspective and modern wit.
For more information, call Ellen Shanahan at 413-499-4660, Ext. 4703, or Mike O'Brien at 413-499-4660, Ext. 4701. |
