More Snow
The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend. |

Town Resident Named New Florida AdministratorStaff reports - December 19, 2007
FLORIDA - Beginning Jan. 2, expect to see a new face at Town Hall.
Christina Dobbert, an eight-year town resident, will take over as town administrator, ending a four-month search process.
"I don't know what to expect yet but it's definitely going to be exciting," said Dobbert on Wednesday. "I'm looking forward to new challenges and being local."
Dobbert, 43, replaces Susan L. Brown, who stepped down from the position in August to become the executive assistant to the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' President Mary K. Grant. A mother of three and a grandmother of two, Dobbert beat out 16 other candidates and was announced as the new administrator last week.
Calls to members of the interview committee were not immediately returned.
Dobbert currently works as the office manager of Camponi & Monteleone law firm in Pittsfield and is excited to switch to what she called a "hometown job."
"I was looking for a change and this is a job I can use to give back to the community," she said.
Former town administrator Doris Lewis has been acting as interim town administrator since September. |
