Virgil Stucker Promoted at Legacy Portfolio Management

- January 04, 2008

Virgil Stucker has been promoted to Senior Vice President
Virgil Stucker has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Legacy Portfolio Management (LPM) according to an announcement today by Legacy Banks Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, J. Williar Dunlaevy. Stucker joined LPM last year as Vice President of Client Relationship Development. In this new capacity he will lead and supervise LPM, in addition to being responsible for enhancing customer relationships and implementing business development plans to attract new clients to the bank’s investment services division.

According to Dunlaevy, Stucker has been instrumental in positioning Legacy Portfolio Management for continued growth. “We have been very pleased to see Virgil’s leadership capacity emerge since he joined Legacy. In addition, our clients have truly benefited from his vast experience in a broad range of investment areas, as well as his interest in philanthropy and private foundations. We appreciate the value that Virgil has and will bring to current and future clients of LPM.”

Prior to joining Legacy, Stucker enjoyed a long career in philanthropic investments – serving as the founding or early term director of five successful non-profit organizations including the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and REACH Community Health Foundation. He earned an MBA from Western New England College and a B.A. in philosophy and political science from Ripon (Wisconsin) College, and is currently working toward becoming a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Stucker resides in Monterey with his wife, Lis.

Legacy Portfolio Management, the asset investment and trust management division of Legacy Banks, offers investment and insurance options for private individuals and families, corporate and non-profit institutions, private charitable foundations and trusts, and public pension funds.
